Episode 020 – Down at the County Fair

It’s county fair season! This week, Claire and Gracie cover a little bit of county fair history and their favorite 4-H fair memories, which include specific projects, fair foods, and carnival rides. And because county/state fairs seem to be a big thing in the Midwest more so than other regions, we explain the concept of “butter cow”…because what’s a fair without the annual butter cow?

We want to know your favorite county fair memory – tweet us or comment below to share!

Also, we’re planning to expand the podcast to include guests for interviews! Tweet us or message us with suggestions of what types of people you’d like to hear from or recommendations (or self-nominations) of people we should talk to first. We want to stay true to our name, A Farm Kid’s Guide to Agriculture, by creating our own guide to the industry, which means we need to learn more about agriculture outside of communications and corn and soybean production. 🙂
